Version 3 Update


This is a major update with a lot more depth added to the game.

Hre's what's changed in version 3:

- Sped up hitpoint and mana regeneration.

- A bit less time passes when you rest, so fewer monsters will spawn when you rest a lot.

- Added neck and ring equipment slots, and a few items of those types.

- A final score is now shown on the death screen. It's planned to have future versions track a high score list.

- Some visual improvements to the user interface.

- Added a bunch of new items, and adjusted a few existing ones with different stats and/or new graphics.

- Monsters now have a chance of dropping an item when killed. Fewer random items will be found on the floor.

- Screen resolution can be selected/changed from the main menu. You can no longer specify a seed to generate a specific dungeon, but the possible number of different dungeons has increased.

- Some scenery objects, like beds and chairs, no longer block movement.

- Added a stats panel to show strength, constitution, intelligence, attack, and defense. This should make it easier to determine what equipment is better or worse.

- Made it so that some mobs (like snails) aren't naturally aggressive and won't attack unless attacked, and reduced the aggro distance on a few mobs.

- Replaced character and shopkeeper graphics with something that matches the game style better.

- A sound is now played when you level up.

- Added a "wait" command. You can press the "." key (period) to wait a turn. This can be handy when you want aggressive monsters to come to you.

- Mobs will naturally wander around. This wandering is not very smart, and needs a little work.

- You'll now start with a bandage in addition to a shield and short sword. You can use this to heal yourself with the bind wound skill.

- Improved saving and loading the game.
